Our Lady of the Angelus Catholic Academy (OLACA) is a small Roman Catholic academy in Rego Park serving students from nursery to grade eight.

The student population represents the diversity of the area and reflects a variety of linguistic, cultural, racial ethnic and religious groups. OLACA is proud to say that its graduates are accepted into the best Catholic, private and public high schools. Many of the graduates receive scholarships and admission to honors programs in those high schools.

Technology is integrated at OLACA in all subject areas through the use of desktop and laptop computers; additionally the academy’s classrooms all have Wi-Fi access. The classrooms are equipped with SMART Board technology to increase the interactive learning experience.

OLACA’s curriculum includes foreign language, physical education and computer classes provided for students in kindergarten through grade eight. The OLACA offers to parents the option for early drop-off in the morning (free of charge) and an after- school program. OLACA offers enrichment programs in advanced math and science. OLACA Early Childhood Program offers a more rigorous curriculum that focuses on literacy to prepare the student for elementary school. Our students participate in many educational field trips, after school clubs, CYO sports and soccer.

Students participate in many service activities, including yearlong food drives, volunteer programs and peer tutoring. Most importantly, OLACA is proud of its academic excellence, evidenced by its outstanding showing on New York State and national achievement exams.

Experience the vibrancy and achievement that is OLACA. For more information, call 718-896-7220 or visit www.ourladyoftheangelus.org.
