Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy

Inspiring a Love of Learning in Middle Village

The mission of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy in Middle Village is to provide a Catholic education that fosters the spiritual and academic development of each child. The responsibility for academic and spiritual growth is a shared endeavor among students, parents, faculty and administration.

Encouraged to Excel

Academically, Our Lady of Hope focuses on inspiring a love of learning in its students. It strives to meet the intellectual needs of all its pupils, from nursery school through eighth grade, and creates a challenging atmosphere where all are encouraged to reach their fullest potential.

Our Lady of Hope continually updates its academic curriculum, reading programs and standards in accordance with New York State regulations to keep its students learning at a rigorous and advanced level. Each classroom is equipped with SMART Board technology.

Arts, Foreign Language, Clubs

The school offers art, music and foreign language classes as well as a variety of academic and social development clubs after school. Our Lady of Hope also offers National Junior Honor Society and a Siena Club (part of the Aquinas Society of the Diocese of Brooklyn) as enrichment programs for hardworking and conscientious students in seventh and/or eighth grade. It also sponsors a Catholic Youth Organization sports program and a Youth Ministry Group.

Early Childhood Programs

Aside from a full academic and religious program for kindergarten through eighth grade, the school also has nursery and pre-kindergarten programs, as well as affordable morning care and after school programs to assist parents with child care.

The school enrolls over 600 students and benefits from a diverse national population. Class sizes range from 18 to 30 students, and 90 percent of Our Lady of Hope graduates started as pre-kindergarten or kindergarten students.
