Only In Print: Churches Under Attack

A suspect entered church property, knocked down two statues — one of the Virgin Mary and another of St. Therese of Lisieux — dragged each of them 150 feet into the street, and repeatedly smashed them into the pavement.

While the attack on the crucifix at St. Athanasius Church shocked and angered many, it wasn’t the only incident that a church or office in the diocese had been the target of vandals over the past year.
