
After graduating from Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, Sunset Park, he went on to attend St. Anthony’s Juniorate in Smithtown, L.I. He then entered the Franciscan Postulate-Novitiate in 1944.
He took the name Vincent and received the Franciscan habit on Jan. 31, 1945. He professed perpetual vows in 1949.
He attended the Diocesan Normal School; St. Francis College, Brooklyn Heights; and St. John’s University, Jamaica, where he earned a doctorate in administration and supervision.
Brother Vincent taught Latin, mathematics and driver’s education at St. Francis Prep, Brooklyn, 1946-51, 1952-58 and 1961-66; St. Anthony’s Juniorate, Smithtown, 1951-52; and Bishop Ford H.S., Park Slope, 1967-71. He was principal of St. Brigid’s School, Bushwick, 1958-61.
He served as chairman of the language department at St. Francis Prep and Bishop Ford. He was also the director of the driver’s education program at St. Francis Prep.
He was a professor of education at St. Francis College from 1971 until his retirement in 1993. He served as chairman of the education department.
