Molloy’s Davis Chooses Columbia

C.J. Davis, a senior guard on the Archbishop Molloy H.S., Briarwood, varsity basketball team, has committed to play basketball at Columbia University, Manhattan.

Davis is a two-time Tablet basketball all-star (2012, 2013). He averaged 16.9 pts. per game during his junior season, which ranked him fifth in the N.Y.C. CHSAA “AA” division.

He was selected to the All-CHSAA “AA” first team and scored at least 20 pts. in eight games last season.

“I’m very happy for him,” said Molloy’s head varsity coach Mike McCleary. “I believe he made a great choice. I think his ability to see the floor and find the open man make him a potentially great college player.”
