Molloy Earns Gold at Millrose Games

The New York Road Runners hosted the 108th annual Millrose Games Feb. 20 at The Armory, Manhattan. Several local runners and teams had impressive showings.

In the Boys 4×200 Meter CHSAA Relay, the Bishop Loughlin M.H.S., Fort Greene, team of Nicholas Orosco, Nicholas Lawrence, Brian Strachn and Terry Charles took home first place with a time of 1:29.94.

In the High School Boys 55 Meter Dash, Quentin Holmes, of Msgr. McClancy H.S., East Elmhurst, posted a time of 6.74 for eighth place.

In the Boys George T. Eastment CHSAA 4×800 Meter Relay, the Archbishop Molloy H.S., Briarwood, team of Kieran Rock (St. Margaret, Middle Village), Andrew Garabito (St. Adalbert, Elmhurst), Alex Goldberg (St. Francis de Sales, Belle Harbor) and Michael Reddy (Our Lady of Mercy, Forest Hills) finished first with a time of 7:55.57. It was Molloy’s first gold medal in any Millrose Games event since 1986.
