The Lithuanian community of Annunciation parish, Williamsburg, hosted a visit from Bishop Kestutis Kevalas, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Kaunas, Lithuania. It was arranged through the New York Lithuanian Catholic Youth Organization, “Ateitis.”

Bishop Kevalas began the day with a visit to the children of the parish, including those who are preparing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation.

Complete with choir, a full complement of acolytes, youthful lectors and gift bearers, Bishop Kevalas’ Mass  brought traditional ritual, Lithuanian liturgical music, that is especially dear to young people and a loving sermon to an exceptionally large crowd of parishioners who made their way to church despite the cold temperature.
