Holy Week Vocation Discernment Retreats

A Holy Week Retreat for men discerning a vocation to the priesthood will be held at St. Joseph Seminary, Dunwoodie, March 29-31.

Sponsored by the Brooklyn Diocesan Vocation Office, the retreat opens on Holy Thursday with dinner and the Mass of the Lord’s Supper. Good Friday begins with a tenebrae service and talk at the Cathedral Seminary House of Formation in Douglaston. The day includes a viewing and discussion of “The Passion of the Christ.” The retreat concludes after a tenebrae service and talk on Holy Saturday.

Young women considering religious life are invited to live the Paschal Triduum with the Little Sisters of the Poor at St. Ann’s Novitiate in Queens Village.

Open to single Catholic women, ages 16-38, this three-day retreat experience runs from Holy Thursday, March 29 at 2 p.m. to Easter Sunday, April 1 at 3 p.m.

Participants will have a chance to deepen their relationship with Jesus and discover the beauty of consecrated life with women in formation and those who are seriously seeking the Lord in their lives.
