Father Joseph P. Minturn, a priest of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, L.I., for almost 62 years, died Feb. 19. He was 92.

Born in Brooklyn, he studied at Fordham University, and Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary, Emmitsburg, Md.

He was ordained June 1, 1957 at St. James Pro-Cathedral, Downtown Brooklyn.

Among his assignments in the Diocese of Rockville Centre, he served as assistant chancellor and superintendent of cemeteries.

He was predeceased by his sister, Sister Elizabeth Minturn, S.C.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Church of St. Mary, Manhasset, L.I., Feb. 25.
