The 19th annual chamber music series at Good Shepherd Church, Marine Park, began last weekend with a performance by Brooklyn Baroque, a trio featuring a harpsichord, flute and cello.
The series continues this weekend on Sunday, Oct. 11, with Jonathan Cohler and Rasa Vitkauskaite, on the clarinet and piano.
The concerts take place on 11 consecutive Sundays, at 6 p.m., at Good Shepherd Church, Avenue S at Brown Street.
While admission is free and open to the public, voluntary donations for the performers are encouraged.
“This series has become a cultural treasure for the southern end of Brooklyn,” said Michael Fontana, the parish music director. “It’s an opportunity for people to hear some outstanding solo musicians and ensembles in a beautiful setting.”
The series concludes on Dec. 13 with a performance of Handel’s “Messiah,” featuring an orchestra, choir and soloists.
