Former Catholic Youth Organization track coach at St. Clement Pope, Jamaica, Morris Pasqual, pictured above, far left, passed away July 18 at the age of 89.

In the 1960s and ‘70s, Pasqual guided the parish’s track team, which was one of the largest and fastest in Queens and won many borough titles.

In the parish, he served as an usher, a member of the Holy Name Society and as the parish athletic representative.

His son, Robert, is the current head coach of the St. Clement Pope track team.
