Dear Editor: Regarding your Page 1 story in the Dec. 13th edition, perhaps you should have someone check the facts before publication of a sensitive story – the unfortunate death of Mr. Garner.

The writer states that Officer Pantaleo used a nightstick to take down Mr. Garner.

There was never a night stick used during the entire confrontation.

I hope this misinformation was an honest error and not an attempt to further inflame the situation.
