Auxiliary Bishop Octavio Cisneros joined the faithful of Corpus Christi Church, Woodside, to celebrate a bilingual Mass and lead a street procession on the feast of Corpus Christi, June 22. Father Patrick West, pastor, combined the 11 a.m. Spanish and 12:30 p.m. English Masses to bring together the diverse parish family. Following Mass, hundreds walked in procession behind the bishop as he visited three outdoor altars, set up by representatives of the English-, Spanish- and Tagalog-speaking communities. Homemade food and fellowship followed in the parish yard.
“I love processions,” the bishop told the faithful before taking his leave. “It reminds me we are all walking together toward heaven.”
