Letters to the Editor

Congratulations, Msgr. Casper Furnari!

Dear Editor: I just want to express my happiness about Msgr. Casper Furnari being among the priests of our diocese that were named monsignor, (“Nine Priests From the Diocese of Brooklyn Are Named Monsignors,“ March 7).

I must readily admit that I was not really surprised to see him become a monsignor. This honor was long overdue. Monsignor Furnari is one of the kindest and gentlest people I know. He is truly a very holy man who is loved by all including myself. He is truly helpful, caring and supportive of everyone he meets.

He is an individual who not only teaches about Scripture, he exemplifies it as well. When I first met him here at Holy
Family, I felt like I knew him for decades.

I was that comfortable with him. He made me feel right at home in my new parish. God not only blessed him, but He blessed us as well by sending him here to guide us.

Thank you for all you do, Msgr. Furnari. May God continue to bless you in all your endeavors.
