Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio was aboard the Brooklyn diocesan float in New York’s Columbus Day Parade Oct. 8. Accompanying the bishop was Msgr. Jamie Gigantiello, diocesan director of development. The bishop concelebrated the Columbus Day Mass with Cardinal Timothy Dolan at St. Patrick’s Cathedral earlier in the day. Bishop James Checchio of Metuchen, N.J. was the homilist. This year’s grand marshal was Guy Chiarello, president of the financial services company First Data Corporation.
