Students from grades one to 12 sent entries of all shapes and sizes. In all, student-artists representing more than 30 schools and parishes submitted nearly 600 entries depicting the mystery of the Resurrection.
Every piece of art was evaluated on artistic ability and how well the artist depicted the spirit of Easter. Judges from The Tablet casted their votes and the artwork with the most votes won. Winners were invited by the Knights to an award ceremony to present them with certificates, medals and checks.
This year, judges awarded some honorable mentions. Those students will receive a certificate in the mail. The artwork from the honorable mentions and more photos from the awards ceremony can be viewed below.
For information on the next art contest, “Keep Christ in Christmas,” check the Youth Page about a month before Advent.
