Chamber Music Series in Marine Park

The 18th annual chamber music series at Good Shepherd Church, Marine Park, begins on Oct. 6 with a performance by clarinetist Thomas Piercy. The concerts take place on 11 consecutive Sundays at 6 p.m.

While admission is free and open to the public, voluntary donations for the performers are encouraged.

Michael Fontana, parish music director, said: “We are delighted to continue presenting some of New York City’s finest solo musicians and ensembles in a beautiful setting.”

The series concludes Dec. 15 with a performance of Handel’s “Messiah,” featuring an orchestra, choir and soloists.

Oct. 6 – Tom Piercy, clarinet

Oct. 13 – Joe Brent, mandolin

Oct. 20 – Hard Tango Chamber Band

Oct. 27 – Eight Strings and a whistle, violin, cello and flute

Nov. 3 – Daniel Lippel, classical guitar

Nov. 10 – Gregory Harrington, violin

Nov. 17 – Kalin Ivanov, cello

Nov. 24 – Brooklyn Baroque, flute, cello and harpsichord

Dec. 1 – Matthew Fontana, clarinet

Dec. 8 – Brace Negron, baritone

Dec. 15 – G.F. Handel’s “Messiah,” choir, soloists and orchestra
