“Celebrating Mercy” Theme for 2016 Evangelization Congress

The diocesan School of Evangelization will host the third annual Evangelization Congress, Jan. 30, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston. This is the main Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy diocesan catechetical and pastoral event.

The theme is “Celebrating Mercy,” and the keynote speaker will be Gregory R. Erlandson, publisher of the Our Sunday Visitor Publishing Division. The Mass, keynote, workshops and exhibits will help attendees discover the wisdom behind Pope Francis’ notion that showing mercy “…is a journey that starts with a spiritual conversion.”

Workshops will be available in English, Spanish and Polish. The cost is $15.00 per person, and includes a light breakfast and lunch. Space is limited.

To attend, register at www.meetmein.church or contact Christine Georgi at 718-965-7300, ext. 5416 or cgeorgi@diobrook.org.
