Catholic Charities Offers Pilgrimage

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has organized a pilgrimage to Italy in April, 2016, to observe the Holy Year of Mercy. Led by Auxiliary Bishop Paul R. Sanchez, and Msgr. Alfred LoPinto, CEO of Catholic Charities, the pilgrimage is a nine-day tour through Florence, Rome and Assisi.

The deadline to sign up has been extended to Oct. 30.

Among the highlights of this trip, to take place the week after Easter weekend, are two opportunities to see Pope Francis – at a papal Mass on Divine Mercy Sunday and at a papal audience. This pilgrimage also includes a pass through the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica where you will receive a plenary indulgence.

Each day, Mass will be celebrated both by Bishop Sanchez and Msgr. LoPinto.
