Pro Vita Honorees Named

The annual Pro Vita Mass sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 5 p.m. at St. James Cathedral-Basilica, Downtown Brooklyn. The honorees will be Sister Tesa Fitzgerald, C.S.J., and the staff of Hour Children, and Sir Knights Jose Ortiz and Francis Boccabella.

Co-Cathedral Hosts ‘Miracle’

The Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph, Prospect Heights, will host a spectacular family event that includes The Miracle of Christmas musical, a live concert, a visit from Santa, a tree-lighting ceremony and a high-tech light show on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m.

Two Relics of Diocese to Serve Costa Rican Church

The bell that once rang out from the steeple of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Williamsburg, and a statue of Our Lady of the Skies that adorned the now-razed chapel of the same name at Kennedy Airport will be blessed outside the Parish of Nuestra Senora de La Soledad in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Pastor Welcomed

At Thanksgiving Mass, faculty and students of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Academy, Rockaway Beach, presented the new pastor, Father James Kuroly with a school jacket to welcome him to St. Rose. The students also presented him of a sketch of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Academy done by Mrs. Gina Todd.

‘Socktober’

Father Herald, CFR, displays socks that the parishioners of St. Helen’s, Howard Beach, donated to the men at the St. Anthony Shelter in the Bronx. During ‘Socktober’ more than 350 pairs of new socks were collected.
