This weekend, 30 innocent people simply going about their lives were killed in mass shootings in both Texas and Ohio. We pray for all the victims and survivors, their families, and communities, that the Lord will comfort them during this terrible time. As a Nation, we are better than this. There is no place in civil society for assault rifles to be readily available. It is incumbent upon our leaders to take the necessary action to better protect all of our citizens against the horrifying reality of gun violence in America.
