Bishop DiMarzio Golf Classic

Aid to the Church in Need was the big winner at the annual Bishop DiMarzio Golf Classic conducted by DeSales Media Group, parent company of The Tablet and NET-TV. George Marlin, chairman of the board for Aid to the Church in Need, was honored as the Man of the Year.  He accepted the check for $100,000 from Msgr. Kieran Harrington, president of DeSales, Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio and Art Dignam, CEO of DeSales. Actor Dan Roebuck, who served as emcee, presented first place award to two members of the MC Electric foursome that included Mark Comerford, Shay Furlong, Fergue O’Neil and Ray Leyden. Msgr. Harrington and Dignam presented Father Antoine Rizk with the Pastor of the Year Award. He leads the congregation at Virgin Mary Melkite Catholic Church, Park Slope, that served as the major sponsor of the outing.
