Bishop DiMarzio Encourages the Faithful to Pray the Rosary

Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio released a video on the Feast of the Annunciation, March 25, when the Church celebrates the Archangel Gabriel’s apparition to the Virgin Mary to tell her that she was to be the Mother of God.

This message from the bishop was released as part of his efforts to reach out to the faithful in Brooklyn and Queens after all public Masses were canceled and all churches in the diocese closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In the video, Bishop DiMarzio speaks of Mary’s acceptance of God’s will for her and explains how we must understand God’s will for us. Bishop DiMarzio reminds us at this time of terrible disease, for which there is no known cure, this is not God’s will for us.  “God only wills what is good for us,” the bishop says.

He also invites the faithful to pray the Rosary with special devotion during these challenging times.
