Bertha Vanegas, the mother-in-law of Deacon Jorge Alvarado of Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish, South Ozone Park, died June 3.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 7 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Burial was in Cypress Hills Cemetery.
