At Annual Convocation, Clergy Reflect, Recommit to Walking with Jesus

The clergy of the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens gathered at the Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston, to pray and reflect together during their fall convocation Oct. 10. The theme for the convocation was “What do we do now?” The presenters were a Catholic couple that serves the church, Drs. Carolyn and Ray Yeager. In his invitation letter to the priests of the diocese, Father Joseph Fonti, director of the Priestly Life and Ministry Office wrote: “The recent barrage of negative, disgusting and embarrassing news reports of clerical sins and crimes has thrust us to walk the road to Emmaus together… With our eyes and hearts open by faith, we ‘recognize’ Jesus with us. United we beg Him, ‘Stay with us.’”
