Legendary Archbishop Molloy H.S., Briarwood, head varsity baseball coach Jack Curran won 17 city championships in baseball before his passing in March, 2013.

This year is a special anniversary for Curran and Molloy Stanners baseball program.

The year 2014 marks a 20th (1994), 30th (1984), 40th (1974) and 50th (1964) anniversary of a Molloy baseball city championship under Curran’s direction.

The Stanners finished as the runner-up in this year’s city title game, falling to Xaverian H.S., Bay Ridge.
