Jack Kaiser Stadium on the campus of St. John’s University, Jamaica, was the site of a unique All-Star Game played on June 29. The local Atlantic Collegiate Baseball league (ACBL) hosted the U.S. Military All-Star baseball team as part of the latter’s Red, White and Blue tour. Since early June, the military team has traveled the country, playing a game in different city almost every day. The ACBL honored the military heroes with a pre-game on-field ceremony. The military team presented long-time St. John’s athletic director and ACBL founder Jack Kaiser with an American flag. The ACBL won the game 5-4.
