Letters to the Editor

A Wonderful Achievement

Dear Editor: This will be a wonderful achievement on every level and a long time coming (“Bishop of Brooklyn Supports Federal Tax Credit-Based Scholarship Program,” March 16). A Catholic school education is by and large the most comprehensive in building the basic skills for math, reading and English.

The educators are still dedicated to helping their students become eloquent orators, mathematicians and readers. Catholic school provides a safe, structured, disciplined environment conducive to learning. The use of uniforms also serves a valuable purpose. The playing field is level because everyone looks the same. Kudos to Betsy Devos. My husband, myself and my daughter are all products of a Catholic school education.
