Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Forest Hills is a Catholic, co-educational school with classes from nursery to eighth grade.

The school offers half-day nursery and both a full and a half-day Pre-K. Our Lady Queen of Martyrs provides a quality education children while assisting in their creative formation.

The educational program promotes spiritual and academic growth based on the Gospel message.

Along with meeting all N.Y.S. and diocesan educational requirements, Our Lady Queen of Martyrs has the following enrichment and service pro- grams: after-school program until 6:30 p.m., before-school program starting at 7:30 a.m., monthly liturgies, preparation for the TACHS exam, Reading Remediation, field days, diocesan math bees, altar service, band, Catholic Youth Organization basketball, student council, spring and Christmas musical revues, annual talent shows and a youth group (grades seven and eight.)

Each teacher utilizes a SMART Board for daily instruction. Grades Pre-K to eight attend art, computer, library, music, physical education and Spanish class each week. Ninety-seven percent of the school’s graduates are accepted to Catholic high schools in the area.

The school has a full-time Department of Health nurse on staff.

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs is proud of its commitment to partner with families in the education of each child. This strong bond helps foster a true family-centered atmosphere.

The school is proud to boast of a strong faculty, many of whom have been with the school for more than 25 years and who provide a constant, positive presence in the children’s lives. A strong parent group also plays an active role in the school community.

Students are encouraged to explore their strengths and challenges through diverse instruction. The faculty utilizes knowledge of both the students and the community to foster an atmosphere recognizing the many cultures and customs of each individual.
