Maspeth Knights Bring Holiday Meals to Homebound

The Knights of Columbus at Francis Cardinal Spellman Council No. 6014 in Maspeth prepared and delivered 67 meals to homebound neighbors on Christmas Eve. Each meal included roasted turkey, dressing, gravy, potatoes and vegetables, as well as a fresh roll, cake, cookies, fruit, a soft drink and a flower. Bill Kuil, district deputy for the Knights’ 24th District, was proud to aid in the effort, above, with Knights Jack Curry, Joe Reklis, Chris DiVilio, Tony Consolazio and John Simorella.

All men are invited to participate in the second annual Diocesan Men’s Conference: “Being Missionary Disciples,” at the Immaculate Conception Center in Douglaston on Feb. 11, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Matt Ingold, director of healing and retreat programs for The King’s Men, will deliver the keynote address. Conferences will be held in both English and Spanish. A light breakfast, lunch, presentations, an opportunity for the sacrament of reconciliation and Mass are planned for the day.

“Exploring Relationships: Your Spiritual Journey Forward” will be the theme for the St. Paul’s Singles Weekend Retreat, set for March 24-26 at St. Josaphat’s Retreat House, Glen Cove, L.I.
