Dear Editor: I was quite thrilled to open this week’s Tablet and find an article about our parish celebration of our patronal feast! Children and adults of many ethnicities came together on Sunday, May 29, in Corpus Christi parish, Woodside, to express their devotion to the Holy Eucharist.

Despite the heat, the congregation participated with gusto – praying, singing and sharing both spiritual and actual food. As a member of the English-speaking choir, I felt privileged to take part in such an event.

The prayerful presence of Bishop Paul Sanchez enhanced the spiritual value of this beautiful occasion. It was a glorious day in northern Woodside, a true celebration of the unity of the Body of Christ – Corpus Christi!
