Jonathan Rosero, a recent graduate of Holy Cross H.S., Flushing, has served this season as the bat boy for the New York Mets during the team’s home games at Citi Field. He was a pitcher on the Knights’ varsity squad and will be playing baseball this fall at Villanova University, Villanova, Pa.
Through this experience, Rosero has been able to play catch with Mets’ superstar Matt Harvey and has picked up some helpful pitching tips from reliever Carlos Torres, pitching coach Dan Warthen and bullpen coach Ricky Bones.
“Seeing their preparation, these guys have an amazing work ethic,” Rosero said.
