St. Pancras Class of 1964 Reunites
After a year of planning, the Class of 1964 from St. Pancras School, Glendale, celebrated the 50th anniversary of their graduation in June. About 35 classmates, some from as far away as Colorado and Florida, joined two Sisters of St. Dominic who had taught them to commemorate the occasion with an afternoon Mass, a school tour and a reception. In a solemn moment, the names of the classmates and teachers who have already joined Our Lord were read.
The Reunion Committee worked nearly a year to bring this “once in a lifetime” event to fruition. Some of the classmates had not seen each other in 50 years; others have stayed in touch through all that time. As part of the generation that grew up in the 1950s and ’60s, St. Pancras Church and School was a big part of their lives. Touring the classrooms brought back many memories that were recounted during the evening as the microphone was passed around. As connections were renewed, classmates exchanged contact information and vowed to stay in touch and get together again from time to time.
