The Xaverian H.S., Bay Ridge, varsity hockey team made its way to Yankee Stadium in the Bronx for the second of two outdoor professional hockey games hosted in the baseball stadium.

The New York Rangers hung on for a close 2-1 victory over the rival New York Islanders.

Earlier this season, the Clippers played a game at Nassau Coliseum, the home of the Islanders. The team sold enough tickets to the NHL game that the Islanders donated 50 tickets to Xaverian.

The Xaverian players, coaches and parents braved the cold to witness a night of hockey history.
