Bishop Robert Brennan of the Diocese of Brooklyn joins The Tablet to discuss the legacy of Blessed Fulton Sheen, the first American bishop to be beatified.

Blessed Fulton Sheen served in New York during his lifetime. Bishop Brennan, being an American bishop in New York himself,  shares how the beatification made him feel.

Bishop Brennan will also be celebrating Mass at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Forest Hills, Queens, where then-Bishop Fulton Sheen led a Lenten retreat in 1963.

He shares how Blessed Fulton Sheen’s message still resonates today and what can be learned from his example.
