The Tablet’s Annual High School Special Section, 2025

Eighth-grade students in New York City are just a few weeks away from taking the Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools (TACHS) and choosing the high schools they wish to attend next year.

Students signed up to take the exam in the Diocese of Brooklyn (Nov. 8) — or in the Archdiocese of New York (Nov. 7) or the Diocese of Rockville Centre (Nov. 8) — will be asked to enter their prospective schools’ TACHS numbers at tachsinfo.com.

The Tablet has invited local Catholic high schools to participate in this special section to help prospective high school students and their families be aware of their options and make a final decision.

Thirteen high schools located in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx, and Long Island are highlighted in these pages, including Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School. sponsor of this year’s special section. You can learn more about the school as you choose the next stage of Catholic education with your student at  https://www.loughlin.org/admissions/visiting.
