ASTORIA — It is a long drive from Rockaway Beach to the far north side of Queens, but Diane and Patrick Klein made the trip Tuesday, June 14 to be welcomed by school kids clad in patriotic outfits of red, white, and blue.
The occasion was the annual Flag Day ceremony held each year by students at Immaculate Conception Catholic Academy in Astoria. It was the 15th year that the event was organized by the Knights of Columbus Immaculate Conception Council 11449.
