FBI: ‘Mob’ helped recover valuables in 1952 and 1973

DYKER HEIGHTS — The scene was the Basilica of Regina Pacis at the border of Dyker Heights and Bensonhurst. A pair of golden, jewel-studded crowns and other pieces were stolen — but later returned, unlike the tabernacle stolen from St. Augustine Church in Park Slope late last month.
