Two former members of the St. Francis College, Brooklyn Heights, men’s basketball team are continually their professional careers overseas.

Jalen Cannon, ’15, the program’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder, signed a contract with NPC Rieti in Serie A2 in Italy. It will be his third season playing in Italy and first with Rieti.

Chris Hooper, ’16, signed on to play with the Itzehoe Eagles to continue his pro hoops career in Germany.

Cannon and Hooper were teammates during the 2014-2015 season, which saw the Terriers win 23 contests and claim the 2015 Northeast Conference (NEC) regular season championship. The team earned a berth into the National Invitation Tournament, which marked the program’s first national postseason appearance since 1963.

In 127 career games, Cannon scored a school-record 1,720 pts. and pulled down 1,159 boards, making him the only player in program history to score over 1,500 career points and grab over 1,000 rebounds. As a senior, he was named the NEC Player of the Year.

Hooper averaged 8.4 pts. and 4.6 rebounds per game during his three seasons in Brooklyn. He was named to the All-NEC Third Team his senior year.
