Young people, affiliated with any particular religion or not, are invited to attend a panel discussion led by nuns who are theologians and students who are studying theology. Religious women and men are also invited to spend time with young people of different mindsets. It’s an opportunity for a frank conversation on life and truth!
The event, Sisters and Seekers, will be held March 10, 2-4 p.m. at The Mary Louis Academy Auditorium in Jamaica Estates. There will be a reception after the formal program. It’s a great way to celebrate National Catholic Sisters Week.

This week’s Tip of the Tablet Talk Top Hat goes to Eric Vineski, an eighth grader at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Academy, Forest Hills.
He held a Christmas clothing drive for homeless veterans at Our Lady of Mercy parish. Through his leadership, the parish collected 615 pairs of socks, 200 pairs of underclothing, 170 undershirts, 40 new shirts, 40 new sweatshirts, 37 thermal shirts and pants, six pairs of dress pants, eight jackets, six pairs of sweatpants, 20 hats and scarves and eight pajama sets.
