Augustinian Father Michael P. Sullivan will lead a parish retreat at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Midwood, Feb. 18-21.
“A Time of Grace” is the theme of the four-day experience, which will begin Sunday, Feb. 18 and run through Wednesday, Feb. 21. Sessions are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Father Sullivan travels the country year-round providing parishes with unique and dynamic retreats as part of his Augustinian Preaching Apostolate. His mission talks concentrate on the seven sacraments, which he discusses while adding a bit of humor and fun.
Father Sullivan will be at Our Lady Help of Christians for all of the weekend Masses, Feb. 17-18, to open the retreat. He will then celebrate the 8:30 a.m. Mass on the subsequent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Confession will be held on Monday evening and the retreat will end with benediction on Wednesday evening.
The themes of the four presentations are as follows: “To Be Born Again,” “The Healing Love of Jesus,” “The Call to Church” and “Our Response to the Call.”
A free-will “love offering” is to be collected on Wednesday evening.
