Upcoming Vocation Events

National Vocation Awareness Week is Nov. 5-11, and diocesan parishes are hosting an array of events to help young people consider their vocations. Here is a sampling:

Our Lady of Hope Vocations Ministry in Middle Village, is sponsoring a Holy Hour for Vocations on Monday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the church. All are welcome to attend. Refreshments will follow in the school cafeteria.

“Vianney: Renewing the Heart of the Church,” a live production of St. John Vianney’s life, will be presented at the Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston, on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
Performed by Leonardo Defilippis of Saint Luke Productions, this one-man drama runs 90 minutes and is suitable for ages nine and older. The event is sponsored by the parishes of Queens Deanery No. 5. Admission is free. Register at www.queensdeanery5.org or call 718-631-4454.

Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Ridgewood, is hosting a Parish Vocation Night on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. with Auxiliary Bishop Guy Sansaricq. Teenagers from the parish’s confirmation class will participate in this prayer service with benediction. All are welcome.

Project Andrew, an evening of prayer and fellowship for young Catholic men who would like to learn more about a vocation to the priesthood, will be held  at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, Bayside, on Nov. 19, 4-6 p.m. in the parish center below church.
