Nearly 1,000 parishioners gathered at the Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston, on Saturday, Oct. 21, for the day-long Convocation of Pastoral and Liturgical Ministers sponsored by the Diocesan Liturgy Commission. Damaris Thillet of the Worship Office of the Diocese of Camden, N.J., offered the Spanish keynote and Father Michael Joncas, artist-in-residence and research fellow in Catholic Studies at St. Thomas University, Minn., spoke in English.
