Classical Concert Series in Marine Park

The 21st annual free Fall Concert Series at Good Shepherd Church, Marine Park, begins on Sunday, Oct. 1, and continues into December.

This year’s schedule includes:

Oct. 1 – Jonathon Cohler on clarinet and Rasa Vitkauskaite, piano

Oct. 8 – Duo Zonda, flute duo

Oct. 15 – Thomas Piercy, clarinet

Oct. 22 – Joe Brent, mandolin

Oct. 29 – Brooklyn Baroque, harpsichord, cello and sopranos

Nov. 5 – Daniel Lippel, guitar

Nov. 12 – Tanguera Tango Ensemble

Nov. 19 – The McCarron Brothers Jazz Quartet with Suzanne Mueller, cello

Nov. 26 – Novelette 13, flute and piano

Dec. 3 – Duo Cantabile, guitar and soprano

Dec. 10 – Handel’s Messiah, The Chancel Choir and Orchestra of Good Shepherd Church, Michael Fontana, Director

“The series has become a cultural treasure for the southern end of Brooklyn,” says Fontana.

    1. Thank you for your note. The performance of Handel’s “Messiah,” featuring a full orchestra, choir and soloists, will be Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public (donations for the performers are encouraged).
