The fields were renovated by LandTek, a leading company in the athletic field industry. Both fields took six weeks to complete with a September deadline to coincide with the start of fall programming at Aviator Sports and the high school sports season.
The new state-of-the-art turf fields at Aviator Sports will continue to make them a premier destination for local sports teams and organizations, outdoor events, field trips, corporate events and more. Aviator Sports will also benefit by having a partner who will bring immediate and extended families to the facility for years to come.
Aviator Sports will serve as the home location for all of Xaverian’s boys and girls teams including training, practices and games. Not just limited to the outdoor fields, Xaverian will also have time on the ice, courts, indoor and outdoor fields. All Xaverian sports teams will partake in sports performance training at Aviator Athletics.
The benefits to Xaverian extend beyond having a permanent home field for its sports teams. Aviator Sports and Events Center has over 1.2 million people walk through its doors every year, and the partnership gives Xaverian exposure to the variety of guests that visit Aviator Sports. Xaverian will have a substantial presence inside and outside the facility with signage in all major areas.
The majority of Aviator Sports social media fans are located in the five boroughs which will give Xaverian a broader reach in the community.
With Xaverian incorporating girls into the student body, the exposure from the partnership will help the school reach a diverse group of potential students for both the middle school and high school.
Xaverian will also be utilizing the events portion of Aviator Sports and Events Center for hospitality, including fundraisers, alumni events and charity events. Aviator Sports has a variety of event spaces such as the Sky Mezzanine overlooking the ice rinks, the backyard BBQ area and more.
Aviator Sports and Xaverian H.S. will be celebrating the new fields with a logo unveiling, and ribbon-cutting ceremony that will take place in early September.
