We Are All Bill Millers In Some Regards

Dear Editor: What a small world that Bill Miller interviewed Bill Miller (“Unscathed by War, Tested by Loss: Brooklyn Lector Waits for God’s Next Call at St. Patrick’s Parish,” April 18).

Although I’m not a Miller, I know Bill the reporter, and I served two tours in Vietnam, as did Bill the helicopter pilot.
Also, I’m an usher at my parish, as Bill is a lector at his parish.

Congratulations to SJU Professor’s Appointment

Dear Editor: Congratulations Professor Meghan Clark (“St. John’s Theologian ‘Humbled’ as Pope Leo Taps Her for Dicastery,” April 18).

I’m sure your appointment is well deserved. I am pleased to see that Pope Leo XIV is continuing on the path of Pope Francis by incorporating capable women into Vatican discussion and decision-making — a massive, untouched talent pool available to and for Church leadership and growth.
