SUNSET PARK — Lillian Rizzolo, a trustee of St. Michael’s church, said her parish has managed to survive for 150 years because it has always provided a warm, welcoming place for immigrants.
“There are different nationalities here and everyone helps each other out,” she told The Tablet. “At some churches, people will say hello. Here, people come up to you and hug you, or at least they did until the coronavirus…”
