Msgr. Gregory Wielunski, pastor of St. Pancras Church, Glendale, since 2009, and associate chaplain to the Msgr. Sherman Council No. 5103 of the Knights of Columbus, is being released from diocesan service to become judicial vicar of the Miami Archdiocese as of Sept. 1. The Knights of Columbus honor guard and members of Msgr. Sherman Council were present as Msgr. Wielunski celebrated a farewell Mass with his parish family Aug. 23. After Mass, the Msgr. Sherman Knights sponsored a reception in the school gym, where dozens turned out to wish Msgr. Wielunski well.

Next month, Catholic Charities Bereavement Services is offering workshops in Brooklyn and Queens to share pastoral practices for helping people deal with grief. Workshops are open to parish bereavement facilitators as well as extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist who bring communion to the homebound and those in nursing homes.
