Running the Marathon for a Cause

IMG953165Juana Carmen Rosario, a parishioner at St. Michael-St. Malachy, East New York, ran the ING N.Y.C. Marathon on Sunday, Nov. 3 for a special cause: children, adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities.

Through running the marathon, which she finished in four hours and 43 minutes, Rosario supports the Queens Center for Progress, an agency that serves people with developmental disabilities for a better quality of life.

“This race give me an opportunity to raise money and do what I love to do the most…running!” she said.
