Brooklyn Cyclones Celebrate 100th Anniversary of Ebbets Field

Ebbets FieldRight before the end of the season on Aug. 29, the Brooklyn Cyclones commemorated the 100th anniversary of the legendary Ebbets Field, which served as the central hub of Brooklyn baseball on Sullivan Place in Flatbush.

At MCU Park in Coney Island, Ray Ebbets, the closest living relative to former Brooklyn Dodgers’ owner Charles Ebbets, threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Fans, including parishioners at Immaculate Heart of Mary parish, Windsor Terrace, Mary and Diane DeBernardo, received a 1913 style jersey incorporating the Dodgers’ and Cyclones’ logos.
